This Defender has been robbed completely of its off-road ability, it has a Grand Prix drivetrain! Yes, a Grand Prix... They converted this poor thing to FWD! I vote a RESOUNDING crackpipe at $16,000. Florida.

i am on my way there to conquer its owners and give it the viking burial it deserves. Redneck ownership is a fate that Land Rovers should never have to suffer.

Calls it a "Defender", apparently knowing Jack and Shit about what it actually was before he started fucking
Original chassis and goodies just gone
Those wheels. With plastidip.
Flat black
U-haul trailer style front signals and rear lights. FUCK
Random grill or rubber mat over rear door to cover original tire mount holes
GN-DN side scoops
Diamond plate floorboard fuckery
Console with shifter from GP FLOATING IN THE CUFKING AIR
Yellow spraypainted stock brake calipers
Unbelievably shitty gauges
Angle iron radiator support - seriously WHAT
Jeep hood latches
Structure comprised of angle iron and plate welded together in such a way to (with the fuel tank) make the bed completely fucking useless
Structure not possibly stiff enough to keep from cracking at some point down the road
He undercoated... OVE RTHE LR BAGDE
Okay, BRB. One justifiable homicide coming right up. Will try to get tried in Texas.

Yeah, it looks like a rattle can paint job and its drivetrain is the equivalent of sawing someone's legs off. For $1600 I might be tempted to take it to gut it of its drivetrain, put in a proper 4wd drivetrain and repaint it. Shit, if the Grand Prix bits are in good working order maybe you'll fetch $500-$750 for them, haha. Those stupid wheels too, someone might want them for a car for $whatever.

I am amazed that they went through the trouble to mount a transverse engine/trans in there. WTF.

That may be the only configuration I've never built or worked on. Would start overlanding for that.

It's not put on a Blazer/Bronco chassis so they can fit 44's. It ain't redneck.

It's very, very sad.

I wonder if this was built for some sort of tourist attraction, like a cut-rate wildlife park or something, that wanted the look but also wanted dirt cheap Pontiac repair costs?
Either way, considering it's basically just a parts vehicle for someone with another Land Rover they're working on at this point, $16,000 is AT LEAST one zero too many.
